15 things you should include in your Bids and Tenders Content Library

Let’s be honest, responding to bids/tenders/RFPs/EOIs (whatever you want to call them), are a major pain in the butt. And while nothing will get rid of that pain, creating a bids and tenders content library is a crucial to reducing that pain and the time it will take for you to respond to RFPs - and win contracts!

So, here are a few of the essentials that we advise should be included in your bid/tender library:

  1. Areas of expertise overviews - this would include one page overviews of each of your areas of expertise.

  2. Matter credentials - we suggest these be limited to the last 3 years, unless you work in an industry that has a low volume of work, such as privatisations

  3. Corporate / Firm / Organisation history

    • Value statement (which will need to be tailored to the opportunity)

    • Organisational structure (including graph)

  4. Bios/CVs of your Subject Matter Expertise

    • Key personnel and their qualifications

  5. Alternative Fee Options

  6. Referee details

  7. Insurance certificates

    • Professional indemnity

    • Public Liability

  8. Financial information

    • If you cannot disclose audited accountants for any reason, bank referees and financial stability statements

  9. ISO Certifications

    • Cyber/IT

    • Environmental

  10. Compliance issues

    • Terms of Service Agreement

    • ABN/ACN

    • Hiring policy

    • IT Security policy

    • Climate Change Statement

    • Social Media policy

    • Drink and drugs policy

  11. Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policy

  12. Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) statement

  13. Value Added Services - including the whole suite of what you might offer in the training and development space

  14. Templates within the templates - for deal and lateral partner hire press releases
