New standard closing time for NSW Government Tenders

For those in New South Wales (NSW), the Government has gone ‘live’ with its updated Tenders portal post 1 July.

‘Tenders’

‘Tenders’ will replaces how NSW Government goes to market for its Government buyers, and provides suppliers with a more updated and streamlined way to find and respond to opportunities to do business with NSW Government.

In the words of the NSW Government, the benefits of the updated scheme is to allow respondents to:

  1. Respond to a tender using an online form from your own Tenders dashboard;

  2. Save and return to your response as often as needed before it closes;

  3. Collaborate with team members on responses;

  4. Attach supporting documents from your Document Library;

  5. See at a glance, all of your current tender responses and any related notifications on your Tenders dashboard;

  6. Have a private Q&A with the opportunity owner and have it recorded on your dashboard, so you no longer have to trawl through emails;

With possibly up to 20,000 service providers submitting to NSW Government tender opportunities at the same time, it’ll be interesting to see how stable this platform will be - so strongly suggest that you upload early!

New standard closing time

The NSW Government has introduced a new standard closing time for its tenders: 3pm

This is being done to make your lives much easier - without reference to any day of the week, but has to be better than the recent trend of 10am Monday morning!

Feel free to get in touch if you need help with this.
